From Craftsmanship Know-How to the Smart Factory

Zarri S.r.l. has launched a digital transformation project aimed at strengthening the efficiency of business processes, improving analytical capabilities, and supporting more competitive and sustainable growth. The initiative stems from the desire to integrate the company’s manufacturing heritage with advanced digital tools capable of generating concrete value in technical, commercial, and management processes.

Project Title

Zarri S.r.l. From craftsmanship know-how to the Smart Factory: the Intelligent Evolution of a historic company.
The implementation of advanced AI and BI technologies for business process automation, costing optimization, and improved KPI analysis aims to increase Zarri’s competitiveness, work quality, and environmental sustainability. A historic company that wishes to integrate an advanced entrepreneurial approach into the “Made in Italy” culture.

Project Summary

The project involves the introduction of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Business Intelligence solutions to optimize business data analysis, improve product costing, and simplify several stages of the commercial quotation process. This intervention is part of an organizational evolution path aimed at making the company more efficient, faster in responding to the market, and more structured in interpreting its strategic indicators.

Objectives

The main objectives of the project are:

  • Improving decision-making capabilities through advanced Business Intelligence tools and KPI analysis;
  • Reducing low-value-added repetitive tasks, placing greater value on human contribution;
  • Speeding up the management of requests for quotations and increasing responsiveness to customers;
  • Making product costing more precise and cost control more effective;
  • Fostering more sustainable process management through digitalization, waste reduction, and increased operational efficiency.

 

Expected Results

Through this project, Zarri S.r.l. expects to achieve more effective data management, greater speed in commercial processes, higher precision in cost analysis, and better coordination between systems and corporate departments. Furthermore, the project aims to reduce errors, redundant manual activities, and rework, contributing to the improvement of internal work quality and strengthening the company’s competitive positioning.
